The College of Staten Island is actively planning its first-ever Hall of Fame, scheduled for October 11, 2012.

Be sure to stay tuned for the latest developments through www.csidolphins.com. While careful planning gets underway for this prestigious event, don't forget, YOU have a voice in who gets inaugurated.

Any member of the community is welcomed to nominate, and there are two ways to do so. You can download a Nomination Form HERE. Print out the forms and return them with other information (letters of support, etc.) to: 2800 Victory Boulevard, Staten Island, NY, 10314, ATTN: ATHLETICS / HALL OF FAME. You can also nominate directly online with our interactive form available HERE. For online nominations, be sure to follow up with other information to the e-mail addressed provided on the form.

For nominations, please be sure to follow the instructions carefully. Letters of support are heavily encouraged! Nomination criteria is listed below:

Standard Qualifications

1. An alumnus/a is eligible if he/she has participated in two full seasons of varsity intercollegiate competition at CSI, was an outstanding athlete and made outstanding contributions or offered extraordinary service to athletics at CSI. An alumnus/a qualifying under this rubric is eligible at any time beginning five years after receiving his/her CSI degree. A person who has not qualified for a degree may be selected only upon approval of three-quarters of the members of the Committee. Such a person may not be selected until five years have passed since he/she would normally have received his/her CSI degree.

2. A person who has served as a coach, trainer, manager, staff member, or athletic
department administrator is eligible if he/she made outstanding contributions or offered extraordinary service to varsity intercollegiate athletics at College of Staten Island/Staten Island Community College. No current coaches, athletic, intramural or recreational program staff or volunteer shall be considered for selection until retirement or five years after the conclusion of relevant employment, volunteer service, death or until extraordinary circumstances dictate.

Those who are non-alumni may be selected upon their retirement, five years after the conclusion of employment as a faculty, staff, or volunteer member of the intercollegiate, intramural, athletics, or recreational programs.

Exception

An alumnus/a is also eligible, after the normal time requirement, if he/she has made outstanding contributions or offered extraordinary service to athletics at CSI, or in a professional or amateur capacity which distinguishes his/her career and is consistent with the mission of CSI Athletics. Two thirds majority vote by the Committee places such individuals into nomination.
