Box Score BROOKLYN, NY – For the second straight season, the College of Staten Island men's soccer team made a trip to the CUNYAC Semifinals where it faced No. 1 seed Baruch College, Saturday. While both teams gave their best effort, it was the Bearcasts who came out victorious, posting a 3-2 win over the Dolphins.

During the first half of play, it was Staten Island who struck first as
Ali Fares passed the ball up to
Alfonso Castaneda, who then fired the ball towards goal, which defelcted off the hands of Baruch's goalkeeper and into the back of the net to give them a 1-0 lead.

Just about two minutes later, Baruch scored the equalizer as Danny Goldberg connected on a pass from over the top with Oren Kozlowski, who then fired the ball to the back of the net to even the score at 1-1.

Minutes before the half, Kozlowski scored his second goal of the day when he shot the ball towards goal, which then shot off a defender and into the goal, giving them a 2-1 lead.

Looking into the second half of play,
Thomas Vazquez snuck a shot past Baruch's goalkeeper off a pass up the middle to teammate
Ali Fares at the 54:35 minute mark, pushing the score to an even 2-2.

Nearly two and a half minutes, Baruch scored the winning goal when Chris Galluzzo connected on a cross pass into the box with Kyle Keague, who then headed the ball into the back of the net to give them a score of 3-2.

The Dolphins close out the season with an overall record of 9-11-1, while posting a record of 5-3 in conference play.
