College of Staten Island Athletics

Salas had a fantastic couple of games this week and was an excellent catalyst on the right midfield attacking wing, earning CSI Male Athlete of the Week honors for 9/17.  He played 69 minutes in each of the games and he was a part of CSI getting out a fast start.  In the win over Sarah Lawrence he scored very early in the second half to put the game away, and in the win over Cobleskill, it was his pass to Bryant Navarro that sprung him on a breakaway to make it 1-0.  Later in the half, he put a ball on net that was saved on a sprawling attempt and CSI cashed in on the rebound to make it 2-0.  He finished the week with five shots, four on goal, and for the season he has three goals and two assists.
