For another great set of turns in the pool, freshman Dierdre McCafferty in the CSI Female Athlete of the Week for November 4, 2019. McCafferty helped lift CSI to a rousing win over Mt. St. Mary, setting the stage with a 1,000-yard Freestyle run of 10:59.89, good for a new pool and CSI all-time record. She wasn't finished there , as she came in at 2:24.67 in the 200-yard Butterfly, winning the event by almost six seconds. In the 500-yard Freestyle, she just narrowly missed another record, but did win first place with a run of 5:20.70, winning by 49 seconds in the event. She ended her day by swimming the anchor in the 200-yard Freestyle Relay, helping CSI to a first-place finish with 1:55.84. McCafferty leads the team through two meets with 50.5 points.
