A highly-accomplished swimmer for the men's program that included four-straight CUNYAC Championships and an MVP honor, Tim Sweeney will now make it a focus to guide the Dolphins' unit as an assistant coach, effective in the fall of 2018.
Sweeney was a back-to-back CUNYAC Performer of the Year, winning CSI Male Athlete of the Year in 2015-16 as well. He led the Dolphins in point scoring in each of the four years in which he competed, and at the conclusion of his career he was the owner of eight individual records, including a clean sweep of freestyle records and butterfly records. Sweeney is also a part of four out of five records in relay events.
A specialist just about everywhere on the pool, Sweeney will work with many of CSI's swimmers, men and women, to help them shave time off of their strokes and compete in top form at all times.
