Dual threat Emily Koerick has earned CSI Female Athlete of the Week honors for the week ending April 11, 2021. Koerick was tremendous both at the plate and in the circle for the Dolphins softball team that went 1-3 this past week, scoring their win over previously unbeaten in the ECC, Mercy College. Koerick tossed a complete game for the win in that one, with 10 K's and scoring the game winning run in the process in the bottom of the 7th. For the week, Koerick was 1-1 with a 1.08 ERA, with 21 strikeouts in 13 innings of work. She was just as potent at the plate, posting a .417 average in 12 at-bats, with five hits, two walks and five runs scored. She was also terrific in the field, amassing eight put-outs and four assists. For the season she is 2-2 with a 1.40 ERA and is batting an even .400 with eight runs scored.
