For the second time this season, senior Lauren Smith has been named the CSI Female Athlete of the Week on November 5, 2018 For Smith, it could not have been a better week. After never registering a multi-goal game in her career, Smith posted a hat trick in the CSI Championship win over John Jay College, a game that would end, 6-2, in CSI's favor. Smith's first two goals in the game came in the first five minutes, setting CSI up for a terrific game the rest of the way. Smith finished with eight goals this season with seven assists, picking just the right time to record her first ever hat trick en route to the game's Most Valuable Player honor.
