College of Staten Island Athletics

Dolphins senior Danielle McLaughlin of the women’s basketball team has been named the College of Staten Island’s Female Player of the Month for February 2010. The 5-6 shooting guard helped the Dolphins to a 13-12 finish on the season after falling to Baruch College in the semifinals of the CUNYAC Tournament.

In the month of February, McLaughlin led the team in scoring on four occasions while averaging 16.1 points per game. She totaled 27 three-point goals and averaged 4.5 made goals in a game.  

Some stand out games for the senior were on Febraury 3^rd with an 18 point game that led CSI to victory over York College and on February 13^th against City Tech where she led the team with 26 points including 8 three pointers.

Finishing her career against Baruch College in the semifinals with a team-high 16 points and five made 3-point goals, McLaughlin landed herself at the very top of CSI’s all-time list of made three pointers.
