T.J. Tibbs of the men’s basketball team has been named College of Staten Island’s Male Athlete of the Month for November 2010. The first year player has helped the Dolphins to a 4-0 start this month.

The Dolphins started the season taking the winning title in the Wesleyan College Tip-Off Tournament. Tibbs tallied a total of 40 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists, earning him a spot on the All-Tournament Team.

Though his statistics don’t show it, Tibbs was a leader for the Dolphins in their 71-68 victory in the home opener against Rochester Institute. He followed with a game-high 24 points against FDU-Florham.

In the month of November, the St. Peter’s High School product led the team in points averaging 16 per game.
