Getting nine games under their belts to start the 2013 season, CSI Softball's Victoria Procopio has been named CSI's Athlete of the Month for March. The sophomore has hit the ground running for the Dolphins, who posted a 4-5 record in March. Debuting inside the pitcher's circle, Procopio went 3-3 with a 5.09 ERA in the month, paced by a record of 3-1 with a 2.23 ERA in her last four appearances, which incluided a pair of conference wins against Hunter College. When it's been her turn at the plate, Procopio has been more than up to the task. The sophomore batted a healthy .385 in the month, with five of her 10 hits going for extra bases. She hit the program's first homerun of the season in a 16-1 win over Sarah Lawrence, and she concluded the month on a six-game hit streak, batting .592 in that span.
