CSI senior Melanie Johnson of the women's basketball squad has been named CSI's December 2013 Female Athlete of the Month.  Johnson enjoyed a spectacular five-game stretch in the month, posting a pair of double-doubles.  Averaging 30 minutes per contest, Johnson posted a 17.0 points per game average to go with 8.4 rebounds and a total of 16 assists and seven steals.  Johnson posted a December-best 21 points against CCNY, and had double-doubles against Mount Saint Mary College (11 points, 14 rebounds) and Brooklyn College (18 points, 11 rebounds).
