College of Staten Island Dolphins Women's Volleyball dropped their last home game to Hunter College, 3-0, on Tuesday evening at the CSI Sports and Recreation Center. The Dolphins dropped to a 2-15 overall record and 1-7 in the CUNYAC. The Hawks extended to an 11-11 record and continue to be undefeated in the CUNYAC with an 8-0 record.
The Dolphins dropped the first game b y a score of 25-2 tallying just one hit. CSI showed some life in set two despite losing 25-20 as they tallied six kills. Hunter took the final set by a score of 25-4 hitting 50% of their 22 attacks.
Celebrating her Senior Night was four year player and Dolphins leader
Joanna Tepedino who finished the game with five kills, six digs and a block assist.
Kaitlyn Flynn had three kills and four digs while setter
Danielle Ponsiglione totaled six assists and five digs.
Hunter's Mallory Grubler totaled 14 kills while Katina Boutis had 23 service aces.
The Dolphins will travel to Madison, NJ on Sunday, October 24 for a tri-match against St. Elizabeth and Sarah Lawrence at 11:00 am and 1:00 pm.
