College of Staten Island's women's volleyball team split 1-1 yesterday in a tri-match held in Madison, New Jersey at the College of St. Elizabeth. The Dolphins defeated St. Elizabeth, 3-0 (26-24, 25-18, 25-18), before falling to Sarah Lawrence, 3-0 (20-25, 25-27, 23-25). CSI's record is now 3-16 overall.
The Dolphins saw a great performance by
Kaitlyn Flynn with nine kills and 11 digs. Catherine Ebor stepped up and helped the team by adding six kills and 11 digs. Freshman
Vasiliki Stergioula totaled 15 digs including ten against St. Elizabeth.
Danielle Ponsiglione added 15 digs, 13 assists and 4 kills.
CSI had 28 kills and 12 service aces at days end. Each CSI player tallied atleast one kill and atleast two digs against St. Elizabeth.
The Dolphins will travel to Jamaica, Queens on Tuesday, October 26 for their last conference match at 7:00 pm against York College.
