College of Staten Island volleyball took a tough loss to start the season as they dropped all three sets to St. Joseph's College-Patchogue this evening in Long Island. The Eagles of St. Joseph take their first non-conference win of the season over the young Dolphins by scores of 25-4, 25-8 and 25-12.

Danielle Ponsiglione led the team. Senior Tepedino had five kills, two digs and a service ace while setter Ponsiglione had four assists. Sophomore
Kaitlyn Flynn and freshman Vasiliki sterguila both had 3 digs apiece.
CSI struggled with 18 receiving errors and six block errors.
Next up for the Dolphins will be William Paterson on Thursday, September 9th. CSI will host the Pioneers in a 7:00 pm non-conference game.
