DOLPHINS VOLLEYBALL DROPS TWO IN CUNYAC TRI-MATCH

Setter Danielle Ponsiglione totaled 22 assists at day's end.
Women's Volleyball dropped two as they were defeated by Lehman College and John Jay in a CUNYAC All-Day held at York College in Queens. The Dolphins fall to a 0-4 record while starting their conference season with an 0-2 record.
 
CSI grabbed their first set win of the season against Lehman College with a score of 25-14 before falling 25-16, 25-15 and 25-9. The Dolphins had 6 kills in the first set finishing with 13. They totaled 27 digs to the Lightning's 40. Both teams registered a high number of service errors; CSI with 12 and Lehman with 14.
 
John Jay defeated the CSI women in three very close games; 25-20, 25-23 and 26-24. The Bloodhounds service aces hurt the Dolphins totaling 16.
 
Kaitlyn Flynn led CSI in kills with 11 while Vasiliki Stergioula led in the digs category with 20. Danielle Ponsiglione had 22 assists and Joanna Tepedino added 10 kills and 19 digs.
 
The Dolphins will travel to Brooklyn, New York on Tuesday September 14 to continue conference play against Medgar Evers at 7:00 pm.
