BEARCATS DEFEAT DOLPHINS IN VOLLEYBALL, 3-0

Danielle Ponsiglione had a game-high 8 digs and six assists.
College of Staten Island volleyball was defeated by the Baruch College Bearcats, 3-0, in Tuesday evening's match at the CSI Sports and Recreation Center. The Bearcats extended to a 3-1 conference record also taking a 9-4 overall record. CSi dropped to 0-6 overall and 0-4 in the CUNYAC.
 
The Bearcats took a 25-2 win over CSI is set one followed by a 25-5 win in set two, the Dolphins fought back a little stronger despite falling in the third set 25-9.
 
Junior setter Danielle Ponsiglione had two kills adding six assists and a game-high 8 digs.  Middleback's Joanna Tepedino and Kaitlyn Flynn totaled two kills apiece.
 
Baruch was led by Christina Pierre with 8 kills on 10 attempts. Setter Fanny Choo had 13 assists.
 
The Bearcats had 33 kills to CSI's eight. Baruch totaled 25 service aces.
 
The Dolphins will be back in action tomorrow as they travel to Jersey City, NJ to face NJCU in a 7:00 pm game.
