The College of Staten Island Men's and Women's Swimming & Diving teams kick off the 2019 season today when the take on FDU-Florham today at noon in what will be the season opener for both teams.

Players to Watch (CSI): CSI will be turning to their 2018 season leaders to guide them through the season opener. Â
Michael Stora was CSI's point leader on the men's side last year season. The same goes for
Peter Carle , who is expected to challenge in his signature freestyle strokes. The Dolphins are also hoping for some much-needed points from depth swimmers
Michael Blacharski and
Sami Jindyeh  as well. On the diving boards, the favorites on both boards will be CSI's pair of
Xavier Nicholson  and
Thomas Bridgman. On the women's side,
Lisnette Solano  is expected to lead the Dolphins and
Cecelia Mauro will be relied upon in distance events. Lastly, the Dolphins will look to
Gabriella Bartley in the short course as they look to take the advantage in the all-time series between the two teams.
News & Notes:  Today's meet will be the third all-time between both the men's and women's squads for both schools, with the series even at 1-1 for both. The Dolphins won handily in the 123-94 on the men's side and 91-61 on the women's side when these two teams last met on December 8, 2018. Â
