The College of Staten Island Men's and Women's Swimming & Diving teams will wrap up the 2019 portion of their schedule when they compete on the road for the second-straight meet today at Montclair State.  The Dolphins men come in with a record of 4-1 with the women entering today's meet at 4-2.  The Red Hawks' men will be looking for their first win of the season as they are 0-5 while the women of Montclair State are 2-4.

Players to Watch (CSI):  On the women's side Deirdre McCafferty added another 27 points to her team-leading total Thursday night against Lehman on another three first-place finishes, giving her fourteen for the season.  After Thursday night's meet the Dolphins now have six other swimmers who have scored at least 50 points on the season, three of whom, Lisnette Solano, Gabriella Bartley, and Kathleen Bridgman, have 70 or more.  On the men's side, Michael Stora now has 121.5 points for the Dolphins behind twelve first-place finishes in individual events.  Peter Carle, Michael Blacharski and Chris Ivanov have now eclipsed the 70-point mark as well with each also earning at least nine scoring performances.  On the diving board, Jen Basini and Bridgman have received CUNYAC Diver of the Week recognition for the women while both Xavier Nicholson and Thomas Bridgman have received that same award for the men.
Players to Watch (MSU):  Samuel Golovin holds the top time in several events for the Red Hawks men including the 50-free, 100-free, 200-free, 50-fly, 100-fly and 200-fly.  Gregory Karback has specialized in the backstroke for Montclair while Matthew Cittarelli has specialized in the breaststroke.  In distance, Tyler Dorsett, Mitchell Layne and Stephen Barnard have all participated in the 1000-free with Doresett narrowly in possession of the team's top times.  For the women, Madison Franke holds the top times across the short-distance freestyle events with Taylor Waddleton registering the top time for the women in the 1000-yard freestyle.  Emily Rothamel has taken the top times in the backstroke events with Claire Luigard in possession of MSU's best time in breaststroke events and Margaux Winchock in the butterfly events.       
What's Next?:  This is the final meet before the new year for both teams as the Dolphins will return to action on January 11, 2020 at The Tank when they face Sarah Lawrence while Montclair will face FDU-Florham in their next meet on January 14, 2020.
