Staten Island, NY | CSI Esports is back this week with another full set of matchups that are sure to entertain. Now entrenched in both the ECAC and ECC, CSI will be competing in most every game this week, with plenty of matchups on top that CSI hoped puts them in playoff contention and in the mix for Championships in a series of games. This week CSI looks to keep their win streak alive going up against Nazareth College who's also looking to keep their hot streak flowing as both teams are tied competing for the number one spot in the rankings. CSI has been competing at a high level week after week keeping their opponents on their toes and the fans entertained at home with amazing highlight moments in battle especially last week when Sofronio Lorenzo (Frio) checked in with Captain Falcon running through Bethel College as he finished them by taking a total of nine stock by the end of the night. Nazareth College is also coming into this week with high momentum as they have only lost one set in the three matches they have competed in where in the end they remain undefeated clearly proving they are not to be taken lightly. This is the first time both teams are facing each other and the stakes couldn't be any higher as one of these two teams winning streak will come to an end trying to hold on the number one seed. |

In PS4 action, CSI C (Chris Velasquez) will be up against Sam Bell of Mount St. Mary's College, who is coming off a convincing, 2-0, win over STAC's Caleb Franco. Bell won that matchup by a combined 100 plus points between both games. Velasquez will have his hands full to say the least after coming off a forfeited win in his last matchup against Bellarmine University's Zac Pell who never checked-in for his matchup with Velasquez.
In XBOX action, CSI S (Shabarii Noiis) will look to continue his string of dominance versus Garrett Riddle of Dallas Baptist University. Riddle, won his last matchup against John Jay College, 2-0, however, only has reached the 60 point mark once in all his games played this season thus far. Meanwhile, Noiis, has reached the 60 point mark three times in less total number of games played than Riddle; this includes Noiis's, 91-42, game three win last week against Vicent Bonomi of Farmingdale State College. With both schools coming into this, 3-0, the winner of this matchup will become the only unbeaten team left in the ECAC Xbox NBA2k21 season. |

CSI came away with a convincing victory in their first official ECC Rocket League game last week against St. Thomas University of Florida. In that game, CSI only allowed one goal the entire match and scored a total 24 goals. However, this week they will be playing Southern New Hampshire University (SNHU) who won the ECC RL championship in Spring of 2020. In SNHU's two games last week they beat SJC, 3-1, and FSC, 3-0, seamlessly continuing where they left off last season as champions. This week's game will really show us where CSI stands in their matchup against a defending championship team as they look to improve to, 2-0, in the ECC. Rocket League is played in a best of five series with each team playing two schools each week. CSI will have another bye this week playing only one opponent. |

Two teams that find themselves in the middle of the pack will square off this week with a lot on the line. Both teams come in 2-1, locked up with 19 other teams, so tonight's match will do a lot to separate the two teams from the pack. As for CSI, they backed up a tough loss two weeks ago against NYIT with a solid, 3-1, win over Long Island University, taking wins on Control, Escort, and Hybrid game modes. The Friars are also coming in with a lot of confidence. After dropping a hard=-fought, 3-2, contest to Mount Saint Mary's, they got in the win column two weeks ago with a 3-1 win over Concord, and then looked great in a 3-0 win last week over Post University, so they are looking to build on a winning streak. Through three weeks, only eight teams remain undefeated (one team is 2-0), and after this week, there will only be four undefeated and the winner of this matchup will be tied with the other four who will only have one loss. Needless to say, playoff positioning is on the line making this matchup one of the biggest ones on the schedule this week. |

In what was a thrilling, 3-2, victory for CSI against Stockton University (B) last week, this week, they will be facing a formidable University of Hartford RL team, who comes in with a, 3-0, victory over SUNY Erie Community College, in which they only allowed two goals the entire match. For CSI, they scored a total of nine goals in their three game wins in the matchup against Stockton last week. CSI played extremely well defensively to seal their victory allowing only one goal in each of their wins. This one promises to be an entertaining matchup with the winner holding a spot in the top five of Group B play out of the 30 plus schools in competition. Rocket League is played in a best of five format with five-minute games. |
