This Week's Result(s): CSI 2, Wayne State 0 (13-11, 13-11)
Date: Tuesday, March 2, 2021
Live Stream: CSI Twitch
Notes: In what was arguably the most heavily-contested Valorant match of the entire year so far, CSI and Wayne State were locked in a back-and-forth war for almost two hours of gameplay on Tuesday, with so many great highlights and clutch play throughout the evening.  Play started on the map of Ascent and with CSI as the defending team for the opening 12 rounds.  CSI looked crisp early, getting off to a 3-0 start, but WSC proved they were in it, buy winning five out of the next six rounds to take a 5-4 lead overall.  WSC went up my more, before Christian Dumadag (Juicy) posted an insane 1v3 clutch to get CSI closer at 8-7.  Things looked bleak though, when WSC, this time on defense kept putting CSI down, and they took an 11-7 lead.  Slow but sure though, CSI kept the attack going, getting plants down and defending well and taking an unprecedented six-straight games to win the opening point, 13-11.  Map two then took place on Bind, and CSI this time was on the attack first.  WSC got on the board first with a 2-0 edge, but CSI fought back with four straight wins to make it 4-2.  CSI doubled that lead after the attacking round, 8-4, with Kyle Tordecilla (Kiko) leading the way with 14 kills.  Down by three with their opportunities winding down, WSC scratched back by slowing down the pace and winning a trio in a row to force an 11-11 tie.  Like they did in the first round, however, CSI stayed poised and managed to diffuse the spike to take a 12-11 lead and then eliminated the enemy to win the final point, 13-11.  The win for CSI posted them to a 4-0 record, putting them in a first-place tie among the league's 42 teams.

This Week's Results:  PS4: CSI C 0, Mt. St, Mary's 2 (41-56, 15-22)
Date: Tuesday, March 2, 2021
Live Stream PS4: CSI Twitch
Notes: In PS4 action CSI went up against Mount ST. Mary's University which came to an unfortunate conclusion as a connection error caused CSI to concede the match. Nonetheless in game one, Christopher Velasquez (MrStatenIsland13) chose the Phoenix Suns for CSI as Jereme Amoako-Atta (HeyItsWheels) chose the Philadelphia 76ers for MSM where both defenses would cause a low scoring first half with MSM in the lead, 28-20. Once the second half began, Amoako-Atta began to hit his stride as the offense was able break away while still playing great defense to take an 18 point lead to end the third in which his momentum would continue towards the end of the game giving MSM the game one win, 56-41 while shooting 49 percent from the field. In game two, Velasquez would switch to the Brooklyn Nets while Amoako-Atta would stay with the 76ers which made game two more tightly contested as their was a lot of back and forth scoring where MSM had a six point lead going into the second half. As was mentioned earlier, a connection error would occur that caused Velasquez to lag out and concede the game giving MSM the, 2-0 win in the series.
Where CSI Stands: PS4:  CSI C: 2-3 | Tied for 9th place with three other teams

Notes:

ECC Play: This week, the Dolphins took on two ECC opponents, first they matched-up against D'Youville College (DYC) where DYC took an early, 2-0, lead in game one but the Dolphins stormed back with six unanswered goals to steal game one, 6-2.  Ralphy Vargas (Driftzy), led CSI in that game with four of the six goals and added three saves. In game two, CSI took an early, 2-0, lead and never looked back as they were in full control of the game scoring nearly at will while answering back within seconds to score right after giving up a score, final score was, 7-4. In game three, with CSI up in the series, 2-0, they were on the attack often and early, scoring three goals in the first 90 seconds of play to go up, 3-0 with 3:32 left in the game. CSI would tack on five more goals before DYC would score two late goals to make the final score, 8-2. CSI won the series, 3-0, with Samuel Rozenfeld (Eleventeen) and Vargas (Driftzy) each with nine goals apiece while the entire CSI team racked up a total of 13 assists during the match win.

In the Dolphins second matchup of the night, they would face off against an NYIT, who is known to have a formidable esports team no matter what game they compete in and currently they come into this one with a, 3-1, record thus far. However, the Dolphins were ready as they were on the attack early scoring five goals in the first two minutes of play in game one. CSI would not look back from there playing some great defense saving 6 of NYIT's total 7 shots to seal the game one win, 5-0. For game two, NYIT would score in the first 30 seconds of play but less than a minute later, Maxim Kleyer (Mucks) would score to tie the game at, 1-1, with a high-air shot from near mid-field. Kleyer (Mucks), would go on to score three more goals in route to a, 5-3, game two win. With CSI up in the series, NYIT had to answer quickly, however, for the first 2 plus minutes of play there was no score as both teams were playing intensive defense, until Kleyer (Mucks) scored for CSI off a strong headlight shot, giving them a, 1-0, lead. NYIT would answer in the next 25 seconds to tie it at, 1-1, however, CSI would answer back within 11 seconds to go back up, 2-1. In the next 30 seconds, after a few scuffles in both goal zones, NYIT would tip one into CSI's goal to tie it at, 2-2, with less than 90 seconds to play. Very shortly after, as CSI has done all match long, would answer in six seconds with a goal by Rozenfled (Eleventeen) that bounced over NYIT's defenders and into the goal, to take a, 3-2 lead. Rozenfled, would add another off a sweet set up against the wall to give CSI the, 4-2, game three win and match win, 3-0. CSI collectively would save 11 of NYIT's 19 total shots in the match and dish out 11 total assists as a team while tallying up a total of 14 goals in all three games.

ECAC Play: This past week, CSI faced Long Island University in a game that was nothing short of pure excitement for viewers and players all around. In game one, both defenses weren't letting up as their was a total of 13 saves in the entire game and while the game was tied at, 1-1 for the most part, it was Ralphy Vargas (Driftzy) who scored off of a beautiful assist from Alec Savino (King_Maravi) to take the lead to give game one to CSI, 2-1. In game two, the narrative was pretty much the same as both defenses caused a low scoring game until Anthony S. (Ark Atlas) of CSI scored the game tying goal with 40 seconds left on the clock to send the game into overtime. Alec Savino would then proceed to score the game winning goal from a magnificent aerial 47 seconds into OT which gave CSI the, 2-0 lead in the series. With CSI on a roll for the first two games, things really took a turn in game three which was by far a must see game as Darrion Ramjattan (Skull Kid) scored two goals in 29 seconds for LIU, while Vargas and Savino were able to answer back with goals of their own immediately as both teams were combined for a total of five goals within the first minute of the game. Michael Carrol (Macmay1) was able to take the lead and extend it to give LIU the, 6-5 victory to force a game four with both teams combining for 11 shots and 20 saves. LIU would continue to ride their wave of momentum as they were able to take a, 2-1 victory in game four forcing a game five which turned out to be a complete back and forth battle especially with Samuel Rozenfeld (Eleventeen) scoring two goals in 17 seconds for CSI. As the game progressed, LIU would eventually force the game into the second overtime of the night where Carrol would score a goal in 14 seconds to win the game, 4-3 as LIU won the series, 3-2 in a tremendous night of action.

This Week's Result: CSI 0, SUNY-Canton 3 (0-2, 0-3, 1-2)
Date:  Wednesday, March 3, 2021
Live Stream: CSI Twitch
Notes: CSI had a tough g of it in their last match, falling to the Roos of SUNY-Canton, 3-0, in a match that moved Canton up to fourth in the standings and dropped the Dolphins down to 12th.  The Roos took the opening map of Control on Busan map, 2-0, winning both control points fairly convincingly.  Hanamura was the second map for the Escort round, and again Canton looked unstoppable, gaining all three escort points assuredly.  Then, they were terrific again on the defense, smothering the Dolphins and holding them scoreless in the round to take it, 3-0.  In the final round of Assault, the Roos scored their two points, and although CSi was finally able to register an assault point in their turn as attackers, they failed to capitalize on the second point and the Roos kept it from going into overtime.
Where CSI Stands: 3-2 | Tied for 12th with 18 other teams
