MEETDAY: SWIMMING & DIVING BACK HOME FOR MEET WITH MOUNT SAINT MARY AND SARAH LAWRENCE

11/5/2022 6:00:00 AM

Staten Island, NY - The College of Staten Island Swimming & Diving Team is back in action at home for the third week in a row as they host the Knights of Mount Saint Mary College and the Gryphons of Sarah Lawrence College in a tri-meet today at 1 PM.  The CSI men and women both come in with a 1-1 record following last Friday's victories over Western Connecticut State University.  The Sarah Lawrence College men come in 0-5 while the women enter today's meet a perfect 7-0.  The Mount Saint Mary men and women both come in 1-0.

It was a record-breaking night for Jordan Swanson last Friday as she broke a program record in the 1-Meter Diving event and broke a pool record in 3-Meter Diving.  Along with Swanson, Brooke Manning and Jessica Johnson have won every individual event that they have participated in this season.  Anthony Attenborough has done the same for the men and Michael Graham has taken first place in all of his diving events.  Charles Cusumano has 31 points on the season for the CSI men as well, just five behind Graham and Attenborough's 36.  Cusumano is also the only Dolphin to be a part of multiple relay-winning squads for the men.  For the women, Katherine Ibrahim and Morgan Novello have each been a part of three relay-winning teams.

The Sarah Lawrence men have lost each of their first five meets in lopsided fashion to open their season 0-5.  However, the Gryphon women have won all but one of their meets in dominant fashion.  Their only meet decided by less than 49 points came against St. Joseph's College of Long Island last Saturday in a 93-91 victory.  It has been over two weeks since the Knights were last in action as the men and women both picked up wins over Bard College in their season-opener on October 21st.
