SWIMMING & DIVING FAILS TO SECURE A WIN AGAINST FELICIAN AND MONTCLAIR

12/10/2022 5:00:00 PM

Montclair, NJ - The College of Staten Island Swimming & Diving Team failed to secure a victory in today's tri-meet against Montclair State University and Felician University.  The CSI men, now 2-3 on the year, competed against only the Red Hawks and fell by a final score of 122-87.  The CSI women, now 3-3 on the season, lost to Montclair 151-74 and to Felician 134-81.

The CSI men followed up their first-place finish in the CSI invite with a loss in today's meet to Montclair, but their effort was not without standout performances.  The Dolphins earned their first top finish when Anthony Attenborough took the win in the 50 Yard Freestyle.  Not long after, William Kwan was barely edged out in the 200 Yard IM and Michael Graham earned the Dolphins first-place points in 1 Meter Diving.  David Poggioli also took first in the 100 Yard Freestyle and Maxim Kleyer finished one-tenth of a second off the pace in the 100 Yard Backstroke.  Though the women suffered a pair of defeats in the meet, Jordan Swanson secured another convincing win in the 1 Meter Diving event with a total just shy of 235 points.

Swimming & Diving competes for the final time before a month-long break next Friday afternoon when they will travel to Pleasantville, NY for a meet with Pace University.
