MEETDAY: SWIMMING & DIVING WRAPS UP REGULAR SEASON IN SENIOR DAY TRI-MEET

Staten Island, NY - The College of Staten Island Swimming & Diving Team wraps up the regular season later tonight as they host the US Merchant Marine Academy and Kean University on Senior Night. The CSI men come into today's meet with a 4-3 record on the season while the women come in 5-4. For USMMA, their men enter today's meet with a perfect 9-0 record and the women come in with a record of 8-2. For Kean University, only their women will be competing and they also come in with an unbeaten 9-0 record. The Dolphins will be looking for their first win over both programs tonight and are 0-7 all-time against Kean and USMMA.

The CSI women were in action on Saturday in a dual meet against Hunter College while the men were last in action nine days ago against Baruch. Both the CSI men and women picked up the win in their last outing as the men defeated Baruch 144-73 and the women defeated Hunter 111-101. The USMMA men have won all of their meets this year in decisive fashion with the exception of a 10-point win over Coast Guard on January 14^th. The two losses for the USMMA women came in consecutive meets against Coast Guard and St. Francis and they have since won back-to-back meets. Lastly, Kean has won all of their meets by at least 30 points and will look to close out a perfect regular season with two more wins in today's meet.

The last time CSI faced off against USMMA was last January and it was the Mariners taking decisive wins against the Dolphins on both the men's and women's side. Just one week later, the Dolphins faced Kean and fell in a competitive meet, 83-64. In today's meet, the Dolphins will be looking to extend their win streaks to 3 and 4 meets to wrap up the regular season.

Today's meet is also Senior Night at The Tank. The Dolphins will take the time during tonight's meet to recognize three seniors, Melissa Poggioli, Tom Smith, and Jason Torchio. All three are four-year seniors who have been a part of the Swimming & Diving program since the 2019-2020 season. Tonight will mark the final home meet of their collegiate careers and February's Metropolitan Swimming & Diving Conference Championship will be their final meet as Dolphins.
