MEETDAY: SWIMMING & DIVING RETURNS HOME TO FACE FELICIAN, MONTCLAIR STATE

11/4/2023 6:00:00 AM

Staten Island, NY - The College of Staten Island Swimming & Diving Team is back home this afternoon as they host a pair of opponents at The Tank in their third home meet of the season.  First, the CSI women will welcome both Felician University and Montclair State as part of a Women's Swimming & Diving tri-meet.  The CSI men will take on Montclair State as those two programs will compete head-to-head.  The CSI men come in 3-2 while the CSI women come in 3-3.  Both the Felician women and Montclair women are unbeaten and enter The Tank with 2-0 and 3-0 records respectively.  The Red Hawks enter the day 1-2 on the men's side ahead of their matchup with the Dolphins.

Both the CSI men and CSI women will be looking for their first victory in program history against Montclair as the two sides meet for the sixth time this afternoon.  The CSI women face the Golden Falcons for just the second time in program history and were defeated by Felician last season.

In their last meet, the Dolphins split four results against Saint Peter's University and Manhattan College.  The CSI men lost to Saint Peter's 114-170 and defeated Manhattan 169-98.  The CSI women took the win over Saint Peter's 141-68 and suffered the loss against Manhattan 102-153.  Following last week's meet, the Dolphins added three more NE-10 weekly honors as Edna Melendez was named Rookie of the Week, William Kwan was named Swimmer of the Week, and Michael Graham earned his second Diver of the Week honor.  The Dolphins have now collected five conference awards during the past two weeks and will look to leave an impression once more in this weekend's outing.

Today's meet will be live streamed in it's entirety on CSI Sportsnet at the link below.  Full results will be available later this evening once the scores have been reviewed and finalized.
