Pleasantville, NY - The College of Staten Island Swimming & Diving Team continued NE-10 competition earlier today as they visited the Pace University Setters for the first time since joining the Northeast-10 as an associate member during the off-season.  The CSI men earned the win over Pace for the second straight season as they defeated the Setters, 127-109.  For Pace, the women earned them a victory as they topped CSI, 154-59.  The CSI men are now 4-4 and the women are 3-7.  For Pace, the men are now 0-5 and the women are 4-6.

For the Dolphins, their first individual win of the meet came from William Kwan in the 1000-Yard Freestyle.  Anthony Attenborough and Julian Lopez then took first and second in the 200-Yard Freestyle and David Poggioli took first in the 50-Yard Freestyle.  However, the squads best scoring effort came in the 100-Yard Butterfly as Nicholas Tartaglione, Charles Cusumano, and Sam Rozenfeld took the top three spots in that event.  Poggioli and Kwan each added another first place finish later in the meet as well taking the top spot in the 100-Yard Freestyle and 500-Yard Freestyle respectively.  The duo also contributed to another first place finish in the 200-Yard Free Relay alongside Tartaglione and Lopez.

For the CSI women, Jessica Johnson and Edna Melendez earned first place for the Dolphins in the 100-Yard Freestyle and 100-Yard Backstroke.  Jordan Swanson also posted a score of 244.77 in 1-Meter Diving which was just enough to earn another first place finish for the CSI women.

The Dolphins will have a break of one full month ahead of their next meet as they will host former CUNYAC rival Baruch College on January 15th at The Tank.
