12/2/2023 4:00:00 PM

New Haven, CT - The College of Staten Island Swimming & Diving Team returned to NE-10 competition this afternoon as they visited the Owls of Southern Connecticut State University.  In two very similar results, the CSI men fell 132-74 and the CSI fell 135-73.  The Owls improve to 2-4 on the men's side and 3-6 on the women's side.  The CSI men are now 3-4 and the women are 3-6.

The Owls gave the Dolphins all they could handle in today's meet, but the Dolphins still managed several finishes in the top-two.  First, Anthony Attenborough took second on the 50-Yard Freestyle before David Fayngersh and Julian Lopez took one and two in the 200 Yard IM.  CSI swept the Diving events competing unopposed, and Edna Melendez took second in the 500-Yard Freestyle.  Lopez also took second in the same event for the CSI men and Fayngersh posted the second-best time in the 100-Yard Breatstroke.

The Dolphins will return to action in two weeks as they participate in another NE-10 meet on the road against Pace University.
