MEETDAY: SWIMMING & DIVING FACES ADELPHI & FELICIAN IN SECOND TRI-MEET

Staten Island, NY - The College of Staten Island Swimming & Diving Team hosts their second tri-meet of the 2024-2025 season this evening when they welcome Adelphi University and Felician University into The Tank. The meet against Adelphi will be the Northeast-10 conference opener for both the men and the women. Only the women will match up against the Golden Falcons as they have for each of the last two seasons. Following their meet last week, the Dolphins enter the day with a 2-0 record on the men's side and a 1-1 record on the women's side. The Adelphi men are 1-0 and the Adelphi women are 1-0 following a conference matchup against Pace last weekend. The Golden Falcons will be swimming in their season opener when they face the Dolphins and Panthers in today's meet.

The CSI women faced Felician University for the first time in the 2022-2023 season as part of another tri-meet at Montclair State University. The Golden Falcons took the victory in that meet as well as the meet last season. The CSI women will also be in search of their first win against Adelphi since 2001. Since that season, the Panthers have defeated the Dolphins in 13 straight meets. Like the women, the CSI men defeated Adelphi in their first two meetings in 2000 and 2001. However, the men have also defeated the Panthers three times since with the most recent victory coming in 2022.
