1/22/2025 11:00:00 PM

Brooklyn, NY - The College of Staten Island Swimming & Diving Team visited Brooklyn College for their regular season finale earlier tonight and scored a pair of decisive wins over the Bulldogs.  In the men's meet, the Dolphins took the win 152-36.  In the women's meet, the Dolphins scored a 114-45 victory.  In addition to a pair of decisive wins, two CSI Diving records fell, one for the men and one for the women.  With the win, the CSI men end the season with a record of 6-3.  The CSI women finish the season with a record of 4-7.

The meet opened with a pair of CSI relay wins in the 200 Medley Relay followed by individual wins for Jessica Johnson and Nicholas Tartaglione in the 200 Free.  Nicole Conroy and Andi Bajollari earned another pair of CSI wins in the 50 Free before Anthony Attenborough and Aurelia Barbagallo each took first in the 100 IM.

Next, 1-Meter Diving saw the Dolphins break a pair of 11-Dive records.  First, Jordan Swanson posted an 11-Dive score of 448.70 for the women to set the first of two new program records.  Jacqueline DeFranco also posted a 413.85 for the women, and Matt Bernstein scored 420.75 for the men.  The second 11-Dive record of the night was set by Yubal Parra with a score of 533.90.  This score not only broke the previous CSI record, but it also qualified Parra for NCAA Nationals after just his third outing of the season.

Following Diving, Johnson scored another individual win in the 100 Fly and Julian Lopez took first in the same event for the men.  Barbagallo and Attentborough then took first in the 100 Free before Conroy and Bajollari took first in the 100 Back.  Johnson and Lopez each scored another win in the 100 Breast, and the Dolphins closed the meet with two final victories in the 200 Yard Free Relay.

With tonight's meet, the Dolphins complete their regular season schedule.  They will now have three weeks to prepare for the Northeast-10 Conference Championship, their second appearance in that meet.
