WOMEN'S SOCCER HOSTS MORGANS MESSAGE GAME VERSUS MOLLOY

Staten Island, NY – The College of Staten Island women's soccer team dedicated Wednesday afternoon's East Coast Conference (ECC) matchup against Molloy University to Morgan's Message, a non-profit that raises awareness and works to end the stigma surrounding mental health. The Lions scored twice in each half to hand the Dolphins a 4-0 loss, dropping CSI to 1-4-1 overall and 0-2 in conference play.

In the opening half, goalkeeper Brianna Dore kept the Dolphins within reach with four saves, sending CSI into halftime trailing 2-0. On the offensive end, Emilie Nagel and Rachael Charsky each recorded a shot attempt, with one on target but denied by the Lions' keeper.

Molloy extended its lead early in the second half, netting two goals within a two-minute span to make it 4-0. CSI's best opportunity came in the 62nd minute when Phoebe Ossola found space at the bottom of the net, but her shot was stopped.

Dore finished with seven saves, while Nagel, Charsky, Ossola, Annika Jurik, Caitlyn Thompson, Mazzy Cirinelli, and Albana Gjonbalaj each tallied a shot.

The Dolphins will return to Dolphin Soccer Park on Saturday for a non-conference contest against Goldey-Beacom College at 12:00 PM.
