GAME DAY: SWIM AND DIVE HIT THE ROAD FOR FIRST TIME THIS SEASON TO FACE PACE

10/31/2026 9:00:00 AM

PLEASANTVILLE, NY – The College of Staten Island men's and women's swimming and diving teams will hit the road for the first time this season, traveling to Pleasantville, NY, to face Northeast 10 (NE10) Conference opponent Pace University at 4:00 PM. The Dolphins are looking to bounce back from last week's losses to Adelphi University and Felician University to secure their first conference victory of the season.

The Dolphins enter the weekend with a 1-2 record on the men's side and a 2-1 record on the women's side. Both teams are still searching for their first conference victories, with the men sitting at 0-2 and the women at 0-1 in NE10 competition. The Setters are coming off a week away from competition after facing Adelphi on October 16. The Pace men fell to the Panthers, while the women secured a victory. The two programs previously met at the Dolphins Kick Off Invitational on October 10, where both the men's and women's teams from Pace finished ahead of CSI, with the Setters earning second-place overall finishes.

2026 Dolphins Review:

The Dolphins have competed in three consecutive weeks of action since the Dolphins Kick Off Invitational, earning three NE10 weekly honors along the way. Rookies Alandra Dublin and Ahmed Abdelrehim earned NE10 Rookie of the Week recognition, while Jacqueline DeFranco was recently named NE10 Diver of the Week.

Dublin has made her mark in the conference, ranking third in the NE10 in the 50-yard freestyle with a time of 25.05 seconds. Maria Janecka follows in ninth place at 25.71 seconds. The pair also rank among the conference's top 10 in the 100-yard freestyle, with Dublin sitting in seventh at 55.24 seconds and Janecka in eighth at 56.23 seconds. DeFranco leads the conference in both diving events, ranking first in the 1-meter dive with a score of 217.70 and the 3-meter dive with a score of 225.25.

On the men's side, Vlad Sinigavoskii ranks among the NE10's top five in both the 50-yard backstroke, with a time of 24.66 seconds, and the 100-yard backstroke, with a time of 52.82 seconds. Abdelrehim ranks 13th in the conference in the 200-yard butterfly with a time of 2:08.94, a performance that helped him earn his first weekly conference honor. Julian Lopez also ranks among the conference's top performers, sitting eighth in the 400-yard individual medley (IM) with a time of 4:35.22.
