2025 Series Recap: Dolphins Clinch ECC Playoff Berth vs. Saints
The 2025 season proved to be a historic one for CSI Baseball, as the Dolphins secured their first-ever East Coast Conference (ECC) postseason berth with a Game 1 victory over the Saints on May 2.
Hosting the four-game regular season series, the Dolphins needed just one win in the doubleheader to punch their ticket to the postseason, and delivered. CSI set the tone early in the series opener, defeating D'Youville 15-9 behind a decisive five-run fifth inning to clinch their first ever ECC postseason appearance. Over the two days of competition, the teams split the series, highlighted by a Game 1 walk-off victory for the Dolphins on May 3.
All-Time Series
The two programs first met in 2004, during head coach Michael Mauro's second season at the helm, prior to CSI's transition to Division II.
Following that inaugural meeting, the Dolphins put together a seven-game winning streak in the series, including their first two Division II victories over the Saints in 2021. CSI currently holds a 12-10 edge in the all-time series.
