ABOUT NADIA...

Multidimensional on both the pitch and in the classroom, Nadia brings a tremendous high school career with her to the College of Staten Island, having made the decision to attend the Willowbrook campus over schools like Georgian Court University and Jefferson University.  The two-sport star at Cherokee High School in Marlton, N.J., she was named captain a year ago, and played both attacking and defensive center midfield while also lending herself to striker at the top of the attack.  The National Honors Society and Italian National Honors Society member has also lent her soccer talents to the Medford Strikers club affiliate for five years before joining the New Jersey South FC Galaxy for the last two years.  On top of all of her accomplishments, the decorated star was a member of Cherokee's winter track team as well.  She plans to pursue either Nursing of Physical Therapy at CSI and will be a member of Dolphin Cove housing on campus. Daughter of Sonia and Sal Evola, she is one of four siblings, including sister, Nina, and bothers Fabrizio, and Matteo, who runs track and cross-country in high school.

Why CSI?
"I chose CSI because I believe it is the best place for me to have success after college. What caught my eye was CSI's competitive nursing program, which I will work hard to be accepted into. Another major part of why I chose CSI is because I want to continue playing soccer at a high level which CSI has offered. Something that comforted me by CSI was the positive atmosphere. Everyone is very nice and willing to get to know you. CSI is one huge family."

How will you have an impact? 
"I am hoping to have an impact on the soccer team with my hard work and dedication. Academically,  I just hope to achieve my personal goals and I know that I will be extremely grateful to CSI for providing me with the education and skills I will need along the way."
