Kevin Duffy

Kevin Duffy (ATC, CSCS, CES, PES, NCSA-CPT) joins CSI Athletics in March 2026 as the lead member of the strength and conditioning staff. Duffy brings more than 25 years of experience in leadership, education, sports performance, fitness, and rehabilitation, with a proven track record of developing and enhancing athletic performance. 

Most recently, Duffy served at Mercer County Community College as the Dean of Math, Science, and Health Professions from 2019–2024. Prior to that, he spent six years at Long Island University, beginning in 2013 as the Interim CAATE Athletic Training Clinical Coordinator and eventually assumed the role full-time in 2014 and served through 2018. From 2014–2019, alongside his Clinical Coordinator responsibilities, Duffy also served as Assistant Director in the Division of Athletic Training, Health, and Exercise Science (ATHES). 

Duffy began his professional journey with internships in three professional sports organizations, including the Long Island Lizards (Major League Lacrosse) in 2006, the New York Mets in 2007, and the New York Dragons (Arena Football League) in 2008. Following his time with the Dragons, he joined the New York Liberty full-time as Head Strength Coach and Assistant Athletic Trainer through 2012 and continued working at Madison Square Garden through 2018. 

In 2021, Duffy founded Fast Forward NYC, where he serves as Founder and Director of Sports Performance. 

He graduated from Brooklyn College with a BS degree in Physical Education and Exercise Science and obtained his BS/MS in Athletic Training from LIU in 2008. He is currently pursuing an Ed. D in Kinesiology from Concordia University. 

In his role at the College of Staten Island, Duffy will oversee strength and conditioning programming for all CSI athletic teams.
