COLLEGE OF STATEN ISLAND ATHLETICS
Mauro

Michael Mauro

After 18 seasons leading the CSI Baseball program, Michael Mauro announced his retirement as head coach in June 2026. Mauro will remain with the Athletics Department as the Director of Marketing and Sponsorships, a position he has held since 2019.

A veteran of the CSI program and of the marketing field, Mauro brings a wealth of experience to the Dolphins in his elevated capacity.  From 2012-2018,  he served as the marketing director for one-on-one physical therapy on Staten Island, expanding on the philanthropic footprint that the organization has had over the years.  Most recently and alongside his duties at CSI, he became the vice president of marketing for TLC Physical Therapy on Staten Island.

In his role the Director of Marketing and Sponsorships,  Mauro will be involved in all aspects of external marketing relations, working within the community to improve on the friend and fundraising ventures of the program.  He will be charged with the development of short and long-term partnerships with local and regional businesses. He will also work with community groups designed to add to the dolphins' core of fundraising and outreach efforts.  Mauro's efforts will help emphasize corporate-partner retention and satisfaction, something he is eager to do.
