It was announced in September of 2025 that CSI Athletics has named Samantha Flecker the new Assistant Athletic Director for Communications.  A four-year Women's Basketball standout with nearly 1,400 career points scored as a Dolphin, Flecker graduated from the College of Staten Island in 2018 with a degree in Corporate Communications.  She obtained a Masters in Sports Management & Business Administration two years later and has accrued a great deal of experience in Athletic Communications and Administration since that time.

Flecker got her start working in Athletics at CSI as a gameday assistant from 2014-2020.  She then took her first role in Athletics Administration at Liberty University in Virginia where she spent a year as Intramural Sports Coordinator from 2021-2022.  Upon returning north, she took a position in the Athletic Communications office of Felician University.  After one year at Felician, she was elevated to the role of Director of Athletic Communications, a position she held until the Summer of 2024.

Her next stop after Felician took her to Pace University where she became the Assistant Athletic Director for Strategic Communications.  As she did at Felician, Flecker once again oversaw a significant increase in social media engagement across multiple platforms during her time at Pace.  She also helped organize Pace's Hall of Fame ceremony and facilitated the promotion of program sponsors.  In addition to her administrative duties, she managed gameday staff and was responsible for all content creation across the program's 14 varsity sports.

As the Assistant Athletic Director for Communications, Flecker will be responsible for management of both the CSI Athletics website and social media accounts.  She will also become the point of contact for all statistical data exchange and will manage the CSI Athletics gameday staff.  Additional responsibilities will include increasing alumni outreach and offering support in the administration and operation of department fundraising.
