For the second time already this season, freshman Sierra Kaplanek has been named the CSI Female Athlete of the Week, this time for April 1, 2019.  Kaplanek had a tremendous weekend, batting .533 with two doubles, two home runs and an unbelievable 17 RBI in a pair of wins over York College and Baruch College. She tied a school record with two home runs in one game, and she set a school single-game record with 9 RBI against Baruch on Sunday, a game in which she had not one, but two grand slams.  She slugged 1.067 on the week.  For the season, Kaplanek is batting .477, with a team-best 25 RBI, six doubles and three homeruns.  She is slugging .818.
