For the second-straight week, CSI freshman Deirdre McCafferty has been named CSI's Female Athlete of the Week, this time for November 11, 2019. McCafferty remained perfect after two more meets this week against York College and Hunter College. McCafferty scored first-place finishes in every event she participated in. Against York, she swam the second leg of the 200-yard Medley Relay, helping win that by over 12 seconds at 2:13.62. Then she took gold in both the 200-yard Individual Medley with a time of 2:28.37, winning that by six seconds and then winning the 100-yard Backstroke with a time of 1:08.56, winning that one by over 58 seconds. Against Hunter, she stayed perfect, winning the 1,000-Free by 1:27 with a time of 11:10.69, then winning again in the 200-yard Freestyle with a time of 2:03.21, winning that by over 13 seconds, and finally she won the 500-yard Freestyle with a time of 5:21.92, winning that one by 30 seconds.
