After a busy week for women's swimming, Cecelia Mauro rose to the occasion as part of four meets. She has earned the CSI Female Athlete of the Week honor for January 22, 2019. She collected a first second and third place finish against both John Jay and Kean in a triple meet to start the week, and then against Brooklyn College, she won the 1,000-Freestyle by over 50 seconds with a time of 13:52.52. A little later in the meet, she took the 500 Free this time by almost a full minute with a time of 6:42.80. She finished the meet with a first-place showing in the first leg of the 200-yard Freestyle Relay splitting at 30.24, the fastest leg in CSI's win. Finally, in a meet at Sarah Lawrence, Mauro won the 1,000 Free again with a time of 14:02.85, then came in second in the 100 Fly with a time of 1:32.04 before finishing in the 200 Free Relay again, taking the second leg in CSI's silver-place finish.
