CSI's Melanie Johnson helped lead the CSI women's basketball squad to its first CUNYAC Semifinal appearance in three years, and its first bid into the ECAC Metro NY/NJ Tournament since the 2008-09 season with a sensation month of February. The junior transfer averaged a team-best 12.9 points over CSI's eight games in the month, along with 5.9 rebounds per game, a total of 14 assists, five blocks, and 10 steals. Along the way, Johnson notched a couple of 20-point efforst in back-to-back games against Lehman College and Brooklyn College in the CUNYAC Tournament. She connected on 43.1% of her shots from the floor and was 39.1% from three-point range (9-23).
