The women's and men's swimming and diving team both took victory over York College Thursday evening. The CSI women were victorious by a score of 111-83 while the men won 137-64.
Gabriella Villarruel helped the women with first place win in the 200 SC Meter Freestyle (5:24.78) and the 100 SC Meter Freestyle (1:11.13).
Alvarez had two gold and one silver win. She conquered the 800 SC Meter Freestyle with a time of 14:22.17 while taking second in the 400 SC Meter Freestyle with a time of 7:50.18. Her 200 SC Meter Freestyle Relay team that consisted of Lauren Overeem, Villarruel and Elaine Lei won with a time of 2:26.17.
Danila Novikov finished first in the 800 SC Meter Freestyle with a time of 9:21.49 and also took the win 400 SC Meter Freestyle with a time of 4:32.93.
Fellow teammate Mitchell Lovell completed first in two events; the 200 SC Meter IM with a time of 3:09.39 and the 100 SC Meter breaststroke with a time of 1:27.
Both the CSI men and women took victory in 2-of-3 relay events.
The Dolphins will be back in action on Tuesday, January 11 as they travel to Madison, NJ for a 6:00 pm meet against Drew University.
