BLACKOUT AND SENIOR NIGHT TONIGHT VS LEHMAN COLLEGE

Blackout at the CSI Sports & Recreation Center tonight for Student-Athlete Appreciation Night as well as senior night! Wear BLACK in support of your Dolphins and get loud as tonight is a big game that will determine what seed the Dolphins will get in the postseason.

The last time these two teams met was on January 9, 2015 in the Bronx, NY where the Lightning convincingly defeated the Dolphins with a 95-73 score line.  The Dolphins however hold a 47-12 all-time record over Lehman College with a 23-2 record at the CSI Sports & Rec Center.  Recently, CSI has dominated the Lightning and have won seven of the last eight.

Lehman is currently in fourth place in the CUNYAC behind the Dolphins which will make for an exciting thriller tonight.  The Lightning have won two in a row highlighted by a 81-72 over York College.  Jonathan Greenfield and Olando Minott were cerebral in the last outing against the Dolphins and scored 23 and 25 points respectively on 67% and 80% shooting from the floor.

The Dolphins will need to find a way to stop the Lightning from replicating their last meeting so the Dolphins can remain in the two or three spot heading into the post season. Lehman College was the first team to stop Will Fonseca from recording a double-double in the game this season, the only other team to prevent Fonseca from recording a double-double was York College.
CSI almost defeated top of the table Baruch College but were thwarted by free-throws in the final seconds of the game 66-62.

Our lone senior for the men is a three year student-athlete who has quietly etched his way into a rock-solid member of the team.  He credits himself with being one of the more vocal units on the team, willing to do whatever it takes to inspire and lead his teammates on and off of the court. Michael Tate has hit the ground running when he re-joined the team midway through the 2014-15 season and has averaged 5.4 points and 3.1 rebounds per game in just under 12 minutes per game.
