The College of Staten Island men's tennis squad ended their season on a high note, taking down St. Joseph's College - Patchogue, 5-4, as part of non-conference play in Long Island.  The Dolphins finalized their season at 10-4, while SJC-LI fell to 3-8.

Play began with doubles and CSI got a big, 2-1, lead, scoring wins at Nos. 2 & 3 Doubles.  Chris Pinto and Raymond Hwang did the honors in the second flight, scoring a decisive, 8-3 win over SJC's Stephen Fox and Denzil Charles.  One notch lower, the duo of Nolan Reese and Andrew Adia were convincing in an 8-1 winner.

CSI needed a 3-3 split in singles and that is exactly what they got when it came time for individual flights.  CSI got the job done in the middle of the lineup.  Adia scored a 6-4, 6-1, winner at the No. 3 spot, while Hwang was dominating in a 6-0, 6-0, win over Charles.  Chris Pinto got the winning point, scoring a well-earned, 6-1, 7-5, win over Alexander Fisher at No. 5.  Ed Ruffe and Austin Kapetanakis lost tough three-set matches in their respective sets.
