Rockville Centre, NY | The College of Staten Island Women's Tennis team could not get on the right side of the ship this afternoon, as they were downed by Molloy College by a 7-0 count on the road. The Lions lifted to 2-4 overall while the Dolphins fell to 0-7.
CSI couldn't take a game in this one, as they fell in straight sets in this one without registering a point. Sarah Moehrlein and Hannah Niggemeier did the honors in the first flight over CSI's
Mariah DeGuia and
Lorianna Fernandez and Monica Le Goupil-Maier and Kailey Chin also took a win over the No. 2 team of
Madison Baialardo and
Jaclyn Kateridge. In the No. 3 spot Alyssa Germaine and Chelsea Christian also took a win over CSI's
Jasmine Shaikh and
Claudia Porcaro.
When play turned to Singles, Le-Goupil Maier, Niggemeier, and Chin all won again in the top three spots, while Briana Gonzalez, Samantha Bloecker, and Christina Molloy all came on for Singles to score wins as well.
CSI will now have to try to get right when they face Lehman College on Thursday, October 10, at 3:30pm.
