GAMEDAY: WOMEN'S BASKETBALL RETURNS TO ACTION AGAINST PACE UNIVERSITY IN NEW YEAR'S EVE CLASH

12/31/2021 10:31:00 AM

Staten Island, NY – The College of Staten Island Women's Basketball Team (2-7 overall) is back in action for the first time after the holiday break this afternoon. They will be taking on the Setters of Pace University at 1:30 pm in Pleasantville, NY. The Setters have adopted a no spectator policy, but the game will be live-streamed at the link above.

LAST TIME OUT
The last time the Dolphins played was nearly two weeks ago when they faced ECC foe D'Youville College. The Dolphins got off to a strong start and led by four in the opening minutes, but once the Saints seized control midway through the opening quarter, the Dolphins would never lead again. CSI struggled at both ends of the floor the rest of the way in an 87-57 loss, their fifth straight defeat.

DOLPHIN TO WATCH
Today's Dolphin to Watch is one player who made a positive impact at the offensive end of the floor in the team's last game. Jenalyse Alarcon not only led CSI in scoring with 12 points, but her 4-6 performance from the field also made her the only Dolphin who surpassed 50% shooting from the floor. Her stellar season on the boards also continued against the Saints as she added another five rebounds in the game.
