Staten Island, NY - The College of Staten Island Women's Soccer Team returned home for a matchup with Post University this afternoon, but they were unable to register a goal on their way to a 5-0 defeat. The CSI loss dropped their record to 1-4 while the win, the first for Post on the season, improved their season mark to 1-2.

KEY MOMENTS

The Eagles set the tone early with a sixth-minute goal by Georgi Van Lienen, the first of two for her in the match. Katharina Kuhne added the second Post goal in the thirtieth minute to give her team the 2-0 lead, a lead that they would carry into the halftime break. Van Lienen tallied her second goal sixteen minutes into the second half to put the Eagles up three, and Alyssa Hebb and Sabrina Adamo continued to pile it on in the final minutes each netting their first goal of the season en route to a 5-0 Post victory.

INSIDE THE BOX SCORE

The Eagles' dominance on the scoreboard was reflected on the stat sheet as they led in 16-3 in shots, 7-2 in shots on goal, and 5-0 in corner kicks. Not appearing in the box score was their distinct advantage in time of attack and the rate at which they converted on their high quality of scoring chances.

DOLPHIN(S) OF THE GAME

The Dolphins of the game combined to account for all but one of CSI's shot attempts, played the full 90 minutes, and assumed free-kick duties for most of the game. Nadia Evola and Jenna Como each tallied a shot on goal and played the entire match. Jacquelyn D'Amico, despite not attempting a shot, shared free-kick responsibilities with Evola and likewise never left the pitch.

WHAT'S NEXT

The Dolphins will face their first East Coast Conference opponent in their next match as they head on the road to Dobbs Ferry, NY to take on the Mercy College Mavericks this Saturday at noon.
