GAMEDAY: WOMEN’S BASKETBALL HIT THE ROAD AGAINST CHESTNUT HILL COLLEGE

Staten Island, NY – The College of Staten Island Women's Basketball team (3-11 overall) will be on the road for their next three games. Their first stop will be in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania for clash with the Griffins of Chestnut Hill College (14-3 overall) in a non-conference matchup. Game time is set for a 6:00 PM at the Sorgenti Arena. This will be the first meeting ever between both teams.
 
LAST TIME OUT
This past Wednesday, The Dolphins suffered another tough loss when they fell to the Firebirds of the University of The District of Columbia by a final score of, 62-42. CSI fell behind early by eight, however, cut the lead down to four points by the half. It was the third quarter where the Firebirds outscored CSI 18-5 that made the difference in the game. CSI has dropped their last three games; the last two losses have been by 10 or more points. The Griffins, on the other hand, have won eight straight games. CSI will have their hands full, though, there has not been a game this season where the Dolphins didn't put up a fight.
 
DOLPHINS TO WATCH
Ashley Lambert has emerged as the leading scorer for the Dolphins, now averaging nearly 12 points per-game. She scored a season and career high with 21 points in the loss this past Wednesday. Currently, Lambert has scored in double-figures in each of her last four games while shooting 46% (15-32) from three in that span. Jenalyse Alarcon along with a few other Dolphin starters were held in check in their last game. Alarcon recorded only two points, though, she did grab eight rebounds and blocked two shots.
