RACEDAY: CROSS-COUNTRY HEADS TO KINGS PARK FOR SJNY INVITATIONAL

Kings Park, NY - The College of Staten Island Cross-Country Team will be back in action this morning as they travel to Kings Park, NY for the SJNY Invitational hosted by St. Joseph's University, New York - Long Island. This will be the second time in the last three weeks that the Dolphins have participated in a meet hosted by the Golden Eagles. Just fifteen days ago, the Dolphins traveled to Bethpage for the Golden Eagles Invitational where the men's team placed 8^th in the field of fourteen teams.

Last week, the Dolphins took the course in the Highlander Invitational hosted by NJIT. Both the men and women posted identical 19^th place finishes in a very crowded field. In last week's meet, both the men and women competed with a squad of five runners. Muhammed Qadri set the pace for the men and the women were led by Julia Calvo. Both posted times in the top half of their respective fields as they continued what has been a strong season for each of them.

Between the Golden Eagles Invitational and SJNY Invitational, the Dolphins have competed in at least one meet hosted by the Golden Eagles in every season since 2017. In addition to this season, the Dolphins competed in a pair of meets hosted by St. Joseph's in 2019 as well. That season saw the women finish 15^th and the men finish 7^th in the SJNY Invitational.
