GAMEDAY: WOMEN'S BASKETBALL HOSTS PACE UNIVERSITY IN FINAL GAME BEFORE CONFERENCE OPENER

Staten Island, NY - The College of Staten Island Women's Basketball Team will go for their second straight win today when they face the Pace University Setters at The Tank. The Dolphins come into today's game with a 1-4 record after a big victory over Wilmington on Tuesday. The Setters enter action today with a record of 1-3 and are coming off of consecutive losses. Pace won won the lone meeting between these two teams as they picked up a 75-52 win over the Dolphins last year.

The Dolphins picked up a convincing win over Wilmington on Tuesday and won by nearly 50 points in a game they never trailed. The Setters suffered a lopsided defeat in their last game on Tuesday against Saint Anselm College as they fell by a score of 61-37.

Two Dolphins enter the game scoring in double-figures on the season. Jenalyse Alarcon leads the team with 14.4 points per game followed by Ashley Lambert averaging 12.2. Lambert enter's action today shooting 37% from beyond the arc and Elizabeth Lofaro leads the team among qualifying shooters at over 47% from three-point range. No player is scoring over 10 points per game for the Setters and their second leading scoring, Ciara Collins, is the only player shooting over 35% that has attempted more than eleven shots. As a team, the Setters are shooting just 32% from the field and 25% from three-point range. Coming off their best defensive effort of the season, the Dolphins will look to avenge last year's defeat against a Pace team averaging just over 52 points per game.
