Staten Island, NY | The College of Staten Island faced off against the Panthers today. The Dolphins dropped a tough one to Adelphi University, 19-6. Today's game puts CSI at 9-19 (2-9 ECC) on the season, as the opposing Panthers improve to 20-9-1 (10-4 NE10) overall.
KEY MOMENTS
The Panthers came out of the gate strong as they tacked on four quick runs in the bottom of the first innings. CSI would be held scoreless throughout the first five innings of play and Adelphi would take a 15-0 lead. The Dolphins finally scored a run in the top of the sixth behind an Ulaj double to center field which led to an RBI as
Domenick Castiglione scored. CSI would build on that with a five-run top of the seventh. This sequence was sparked by a Marten fly-out to right field. Gardner would single through the left side and Cippoletti tripled to left center and Gardner score. Morel would homer to left center which was good for 2 RBIs as Cippoletti scored. To close the inning, Ulaj reached on a fielder's choice to second base as Crocco and Kehoe scored. The Panthers ended the game with four more runs as they went on to win comfortably, 19-6.

The Dolphins tallied six runs, eight hits, and three errors in the contest.
Michael Crocco was 1-for-2 with one run.
Domenick Castiglione registered a 1-for-5 performance with one run.
Shendi Ulaj went 1-for-5 with a double two RBIs.
Pat Gardner was 1-for-3 with a run. Kehoe and Cippoletti both went 1-for-4 with one run. CSI trotted out six pitchers who combined for eight strikeouts for CSI. The opposing Panthers tallied 19 runs, 20 hits, and three errors in the game.

Nick Cippoletti. He registered a 1-for-4 performance with one run and one RBI. He added five catches, three putouts, and one assist in CSI's loss.
