GAMEDAY: MEN'S BASKETBALL RETURNS TO THE TANK FOR MATCHUP WITH MOLLOY

Staten Island, NY - The College of Staten Island Men's Basketball Team returns to The Tank today as they will face the Molloy University Lions at 3 PM.  The Dolphins enter today's game 4-11 on the season and are 2-4 in conference play.  The Lions come in 6-11 on the season and are 5-1 against the East Coast Conference.  The two teams split the only two meetings in the history of the programs last season with each side taking a victory on the road.

The Dolphins faced Queens College on Wednesday and fell to the Knights by a final score of 84-72.  The CSI starters all played extensive minutes in the game and the bench failed to score for the Dolphins in the loss.  The Lions took on the University of the District of Columbia on Wednesday in a hard-fought game that saw Molloy pick up their fifth conference win by five points, 84-79.

Six Dolphins come into today's game scoring at least 10 points per game led by Messiah Mallory with just shy of 16 points per game.  The recently returned Bryce Waterman, the recently debuted Jordan McAllister, Luis Armas are all averaging at least 13 points per games and shooting at least 40% from the field.  Armas and Waterman are both shooting at least 38% from beyond the arc as well and McAllister is shooting over 60% from the field in his first three games with the team.  For the Lions, Darren Fergus is averaging nearly 20 points per game to lead the team and William Muller is second on Molloy in scoring with 11.7 points per game.  Muller is also the team's leading rebounder with 7.7 board per game.  Both teams come in shooting very well from the floor on the season as well.  The Dolphins are shooting 43% from the field and 36% from beyond the arc on the year while the Lions are shooting 43% from the field and 35% from downtown.
